LOUISE (Louise Odier) (Shrub Rose)<br />

One of the best bourbon roses and very popular.<br />

Lovely old fashioned large blooms of mid pink throughout the summer and is one of the most<br />

floriferous of the Old <strong>Garden</strong> <strong>Roses</strong> Very free flowering and reliable.<br />

The tall arching canes are covered with soft, olive green leaves and maroon prickles and has<br />

good disease resistance.<br />

A very useful rose as iit makes an excellent rose for cutting and can also be trained as a climber<br />

and will tolerate some shade.<br />

Wonderful Rich Perfume.<br />

'Louise Odier' is a good rose when used for breeding and is the parent of many popular French roses.<br />

Also known as 'Madame Louse Odier' & 'Madame de Stella'<br />

LOUISE (Princess Louise) (Climbing Rose)<br />

A very old climber which has been around forever and still reasonably popular.<br />

Masses of attractive cascading clusters of globular double flowers of creamy white shaded lilac pink.<br />

Summer flowering but a very useful rose as it will grow on a North wall, tolerant of shade and poor<br />

soil and has a lovely fragrance.<br />

A good rose for pillars, arches etc. A very pretty and feminine rose.<br />

Named after Princess Louise Marie of France and Queen of the Belgians 1812-1850.<br />

LUCY (Floribunda)<br />

A superb new little rose with blooms of bright orange with a yellow reflex.<br />

Quite a startling colour combination and no picture can do it justice.<br />

Masses of flowers with excellent continuity of bloom which will really brighten up any garden<br />

and keep blooming until the first frosts.<br />

Not very big so will be quite happy in a container and makes a fine specimen with its dazzling<br />

blooms.<br />

This colour always does best in full sun, and needs dead heading regularly to promote further<br />

blooms and keep the plant tidy.<br />

A very popular rose for its name, colour and pleasant perfume.<br />

If you like strong bright colours in your garden, this one fits the bill perfectly.<br />

LUCY (Blushing Lucy) (Rambling Rose)<br />

Not widely known as its introduction coincided with the beginning of World War II.<br />

It produces graceful stems bearing large clusters of pretty light pink flowers that are<br />

semi-double with white at the base of the petals.<br />

Unlike many old ramblers 'Blushing Lucy' flowers right through the summer and into<br />

the autumn.<br />

It has dense glossy foliage which is quite healthy vigorous and disease free.<br />

Does best in a sunny aspect<br />

LUCY (Luscious Lucy) (Patio Rose)<br />

'Luscious Lucy', what a super name for this little beauty.<br />

Bred in the USA it is a recognised exhibition variety with quite luscious blooms of<br />

purple and pink blends.<br />

Very free flowering and seems to be in bloom from early summer through to the autumn.<br />

Semi glossy dark green foliage which is very healthy with good disease resistance.<br />

An ideal little rose for containers, beds and borders.<br />

Dead head regularly to promote speedy re-blooming.<br />
