Country Garden Roses. Is There A Rose With Your Name On It ?
SCARLET (Sparkling Scarlet) (Climbing Rose)
A wonderful display of semi-double blooms of bright scarlet in large clusters.
The blooms last a long time and repeat well and bloom in flushes throughout the summer.
Good clean foliage with a decent health record.
A good climber for almost any situation.
Extremely well named as the name describes the blooms perfectly.
Strong Fruity Fragrance.
SHEILA (Sheila’s Perfume) (Floribunda Rose)
'Sheila's Perfume' has yellow flowers, edged red, with a flower form and size that would pass for
a Hybrid Tea.
The weatherproof, semi double blooms are very fragrant.
They are borne singly and in clusters on strong short stems and have a good repeating cycle.
There are plenty of blooms so keep the blooms coming by dead heading regularly.
The foliage is dark semi glossy green and plentiful and very disease resistant.
This medium sized compact bush tends to spread in warm areas, and is one of the finest roses
ever raised by the breeder.
Beautiful flowers, lovely perfume and healthy, what more could you want from any rose.
Highly recommended.
Bred by an English amateur rose breeder who named this beautiful rose after his wife.
SHONA (Floribunda Rose)
'Shona' has fragrant, medium coral pink, semi double flowers with 23 petals.
The blooms are borne in small tight clusters and are completely weatherproof and flower right
through the summer.
The foliage is mid green and semi glossy on a compact bush that tends to sprawl a little.
Not very big so should be happy in a container as well as the garden.
Quite healthy and disease resistant.
A nice bedding rose which is becoming a bit more popular as the years go by.
Royal National Rose Society Trial Ground Certificate. 1979
SON (Special Son) (Patio Rose)
What a beautiful little rose this is.
An abundance of superb light-red blooms all summer long.
A stunning little bush in full flower and will brighten up any dull corner.
Quite at home in the garden or a pot but keep in a sunny position for the best results.
A really lovely rose with a pleasant perfume.
A great gift for any special son.
SONIA (Hybrid Tea Rose)
A very beautiful rose with large salmon pink blooms that are suffused with coral to yellow as
they emerge.
Extremely popular around the world for many years
Needs a cosy warm spot and TLC for the best results but is well worth the effort.
Feed twice a year and plant in rich well drained soil as this is a hungry rose.
Strong fruity fragrance.
Also known as "Sweet Promise" "Sonia Meilland"
SOPHIA (Renaissance Rose)
Large yellow amber blooms in abundance on this lovely healthy bush.
Good long flowering period and an absolute stunner in full bloom.
As with most of this excellent group the perfume is outstanding.
Rich honey fragrance.
As we have said before we are great admirers of this group of roses as they are so reliable,
healthy, and the majority have a superb fragrance. Very Fragrant.
Bred in Denmark 1989
Introduced to UK 2000
Also known as "Solo Mio"
