Country Garden Roses. Is There A Rose With Your Name On It ?
It is not very big so is also quite happy in a large container.
The bush is normally small and compact but can become quite sizable if left un-pruned.
Small rich dark green foliage which is healthy and quite disease resistant. Pleasantly scented.
Bred in Germany 1901.
Also known as 'Katharina Zeimet' & 'White Baby Rambler'
KATHLEEN (Shrub Rose)
An award winning rose with buds of apricot which change to attractive blush pink blooms.
The blooms come in large clusters of small single flowers on long stems.
Flowers from early summer right through to the first frosts.
The new foliage is a lovely coppery colour and turns green as it matures.
A healthy rose with good disease resistance and a pleasant perfume.
A versatile rose which can be grown as a shrub or short climber and is almost thornless.
Has won numerous awards in the USA.
Bred by the Rev Joseph Hardwick Pemberton. UK
KATHLEEN (Kathleen Harrop) (Climbing Rose)
Beautiful semi double shell pink blooms on this old favourite which is almost thornless and is
one of the last of the Bourbon Roses introduced.
Attractive grey green pointed foliage.
Flowers right through the season and is not affected by bad weather.
Can get a touch of mildew late summer if growing in an area with poor air circulation.
A useful rose as it can tolerate a North wall situation, will cope with shade and poorer soils.
A sport of 'Zepherine Drouhin' Good Perfume.
KATHLEEN (Kathleen’s Rose) (Floribunda Rose)
A very beautiful rose of startling colour combinations.
Hues of apricot and blends of pink and peaches, which in turn can change to flushes of yellow
and bronze.
Plenty of blooms throughout the season which carry through until the autumn.
For best results plant in full sun and dead head regularly to promote further blooms and keep
the rose tidy.
A healthy attractive rose with good disease resistant.
We are always in short supply of this popular rose so please book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
Highly recommended.
Scented.
KATIE (Baby Katie) (Patio Rose)
A pretty little rose from the USA with very attractive blooms of pink and cream with a yellow
blush in the centre.
Not sold in many nurseries in this country but well known on the show bench as it is a Registered
Exhibition Variety.
The foliage is matt green and compliments the blooms perfectly.
Can be grown in the garden or a container.
Plant in full sun and a little TLC will repay the kindness.
A wide variation in colour has been detected to varying climates.
Not a strong perfume but very pleasing.
KIM (Floribunda Rose)
This variety has flowers that are large in proportion to the plant, having over 30 petals: they open
from clusters of plump buds into rounded flowers of canary yellow and become cupped as the petals
reflex, then admit flushes of pink as they age, to a marked degree in hot weather.
The blooms are carried quite close to the foliage, giving the plant a compact appearance, and they
repeat their flowers with good continuity through the summer and autumn.
There is a pleasant light fragrance, and the flowers open cleanly in all weathers.
'Kim' is good for small spaces of every kind, to edge a bed or in a container.
The growth is compact and bushy, much shorter than the average bush rose, and the plant is well provided with
small, matt mid-green leaves.
Was given the Royal National Rose Society's , Certificate Of Merit.
