ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS Grief in Women Religious The author would like to extend a special thank you to David Powers, Ph.D., my chairperson, for his help in completing this project. His continued support, encouragement, guidance and knowledge made this work possible and successful. Without his kindness and patience during the challenging times and his endless repetitions and explanations, this project would not have been completed. He has been a blessing during the past four years. It has been an honor to work with him and learn from him. In addition, the author would like to thank Carolyn Barry, Ph.D. for her interest, assistance and attention to detail throughout this study. She has been a gentle force and an invaluable consultant.
