Chapter 6<br />
DEMOBILIZATION<br />
6.1. Demobilization. When <strong>the</strong> mortuary, mass fatality, or search and recovery mission has<br />
been completed and all deceased personnel have been identified, processed and returned to <strong>the</strong><br />
PADD for interment, <strong>the</strong> operation can begin demobilization as directed <strong>by</strong> <strong>the</strong> MO.<br />
6.1.1. All rented or borrowed equipment at <strong>the</strong> processing and preparation location will be<br />
cleaned, inspected, and returned to its owning agency/unit <strong>by</strong> <strong>the</strong> 27 SOFSS/FSOXU.<br />
6.1.2. All personnel involved in <strong>the</strong> mass fatality operation will receive a Critical Incident<br />
Stress Management debrief <strong>by</strong> a Mental Health provider/technician from <strong>the</strong> 27 SOMDG<br />
prior to returning to <strong>the</strong>ir regular duties.<br />
6.1.3. Personnel involved in <strong>the</strong> return <strong>of</strong> personal effects, however, will maintain contact<br />
with recipients until all effects are returned.<br />
6.1.4. After-action reports will be completed <strong>by</strong> <strong>the</strong> OIC <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> operation <strong>of</strong> each<br />
organizational element on his/her staff will prepare an after action report for higher<br />
headquarters information and review.<br />
