6083 AMMUNITION MATERIAL OFFICER [AMMO MTL] [Job Code: 001540]<br />

Directs <strong>and</strong> supervises h<strong>and</strong>ling, storage, inspection, testing, preservation, overhaul, reworking, preparation,<br />

breakdown <strong>and</strong> stock maintenance of ammunition. Directs scheduling, identification, dispatching, marking, loading<br />

<strong>and</strong> unloading of outgoing <strong>and</strong> incoming ammunition of all types. Supervises fuzing <strong>and</strong> defuzing of projectiles.<br />

Enforces safety regulations. Prescribes engineering practices to be used. Supervises upkeep of magazines, shell<br />
