AQD codes having the first character "1" <strong>and</strong> "2" are used to reflect additional professional qualifications acquired through performance or training in the functional area (second<br />

character). Qualifications are additive to <strong>and</strong> are not inherent in an individual's designator, subspecialty or NOBC but require identification for tracking or other management<br />

purposes.<br />

The 11X numeric AQD codes are assigned to <strong>personnel</strong> by PERS-4 <strong>and</strong> NETC.<br />

The 2XX AQD codes are assigned to <strong>personnel</strong> by PERS-4.<br />
