5.2.4 On All India basis, the area coverage under ‘High Yielding Varieties’ was around 63.32 % and
rest was under traditional varieties. In Maharashtra State, it is noteworthy that out of total
area under jowar, 91.30 percent area was covered under high yielding varieties
5.3 PRODUCTION OF JOWAR - IRRIGATED/UNIRRIGATED
5.3.1 The estimated production of jowar ‘irrigated and unirrigated’ is furnished in Annexure – III and is
summarised in table No. 9
