5.2.4 On All India basis, the area coverage under ‘High Yielding Varieties’ was around 63.32 % <strong>and</strong><br />
rest was under traditional varieties. In Maharashtra State, it is noteworthy that out <strong>of</strong> total<br />
area under jowar, 91.30 percent area was covered under high yielding varieties<br />
5.3 PRODUCTION OF JOWAR - IRRIGATED/UNIRRIGATED<br />
5.3.1 The estimated production <strong>of</strong> jowar ‘irrigated <strong>and</strong> unirrigated’ is furnished in Annexure – III <strong>and</strong> is<br />
summarised in table No. 9
