6 I S F EENEYISM C ATHOLIC?
Our Lord Jesus Christ did not come to condone evil, nor to
condemn the sinner, but rather to save the sinners from their sins:
For God so loved the world, as to give His only begotten
Son; that whosoever believeth in Him, may not perish, but may
have life everlasting. For God sent not his Son into the world, to
judge the world, but that the world may be saved by Him (Jn.
3:16, 17).
It is therefore the mission of the Church neither to condone
evil, nor to condemn the sinner, but to save the sinners from their
sins, through a living faith in Jesus Christ.
Through the intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary
and of St. Theresa, Patron of the Missions, may the Sacred Heart
enkindle this missionary charity in the souls of our readers and in
ours!
May we also “receive the love of the Truth,” without which
we would become the prey of “the operation of error, to believe
lying: that all may be judged who have not believed the truth, but
have consented to iniquity” (II Thess. 2:10, 11).
