Eagle Project<br />

Task Description<br />

Project Idea Develop a rough idea for your Eagle Project<br />

and discuss with your contact person at the<br />

benefiting organization and then with the <strong>Troop</strong><br />

Eagle Advisor prior to beginning.<br />

Project Oral Approval Once the <strong>Troop</strong> Eagle Advisor has verbally<br />

approved your project idea, you can begin the<br />

Eagle Project <strong>Scout</strong><br />

Workbook<br />

Leadership Project<br />

Guidelines<br />

formal efforts to plan and write-up the project.<br />

Upon receiving the oral approval to begin<br />

writing-up the project, download the Eagle<br />

<strong>Scout</strong> Project Workbook from the <strong>Troop</strong><br />

Resources page and review.<br />

Download the Leadership Project Guidelines<br />

document from the <strong>Troop</strong> Resources web page<br />

and review.<br />

Complete Workbook Working closely with the <strong>Troop</strong> Eagle Advisor,<br />

complete the Eagle Project Workbook.<br />

Generally this requires several revisions.<br />

Workbook Approval Once the workbook is approved by the <strong>Troop</strong><br />

Eagle Advisor, obtain the signatures <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Eagle Advisor, Project Sponsor, and<br />

<strong>Scout</strong>master. Make four copies, keeping one.<br />

Give the original and 3 copies to the Eagle<br />

Advisor to submit to the District Advancement<br />

Committee.<br />

District Approval The District will require 4-6 weeks to review<br />

and approve your project. No work can begin<br />

until you receive this approval. Once the<br />

project is approved, the <strong>Troop</strong> Eagle Advisor<br />
