The Essentials:<br />

Food and Drinks - Provided by the <strong>Troop</strong> Tent – Bring your own Tent <strong>of</strong> use the<br />

First Aid Kit – Kit is provided by the<br />

<strong>Troop</strong>. You may want to bring sunscreen,<br />

chap stick and insect repellent<br />

<strong>Troop</strong>’s backpacking tents – your choice.<br />

Sleeping Bag – Including sleeping pad.<br />

Sleeping Bags should be rated at least to<br />

30 o and 0 o for all Fall/Winter trips.<br />

Flashlight – Headlamps work best Toiletry Items – Toothbrush etc.<br />

Pocket Knife – No sheath knifes. Thermal Mug– The <strong>Troop</strong> no longer<br />

provides cups.<br />

Clothing:<br />

Description Description<br />

Socks – Wool socks with liners work<br />

Jackets – Include heavy and fleece<br />

well. Plan at least two pair per day.<br />

Boots – Comfortable and waterpro<strong>of</strong>. Rain Gear – Waterpro<strong>of</strong> jackets, hats,<br />

boots, and pants will make the rain fun.<br />

very practical in the woods.<br />

Long Underwear – Ideal if cold weather Gloves and Hat – A blessing if the<br />

is predicted. Great to sleep in.<br />
