will be used for the Eagle Prop, two for the<br />

reception, and one or two to display your <strong>Scout</strong><br />

memorabilia.<br />

Pick a Date Based on the availability <strong>of</strong> your preferred<br />

location, pick a date and ask the <strong>Scout</strong>master if<br />

this date is acceptable. Consider other <strong>Troop</strong><br />

events, meetings, and trips when picking a date.<br />

Ceremony Supplies Go to the <strong>Scout</strong> Office and purchase the<br />

following supplies for the ceremony:<br />

• Invitations<br />

• Ceremony Programs<br />

• Mother's Eagle Pin<br />

• Father's Eagle Lapel Pin<br />

Invitations Print and send out Eagle Invitations at least three<br />

weeks in advance <strong>of</strong> the ceremony. <strong>Troop</strong><br />

mailing labels can be obtained from the<br />

<strong>Scout</strong>master.<br />

Ceremony Reception Contact the <strong>Troop</strong> Ceremony Coordinator and<br />

notify them <strong>of</strong> the location and date <strong>of</strong> your<br />

ceremony. They will take care <strong>of</strong> coordinating<br />

Ceremony Script and<br />

Participants<br />

the reception.<br />

Download a sample Ceremony Script from the<br />

troop website. Modify as you like and decide<br />

who you would like to participate in your<br />

ceremony. Ideally, <strong><strong>Scout</strong>s</strong> <strong>of</strong> all ranks should<br />

participate in the lighting <strong>of</strong> the rank candles.<br />

<strong><strong>Scout</strong>s</strong> from the <strong>Troop</strong> website Resource page.<br />

Contact each ceremony participant and make<br />

sure they can participate on this date and that<br />

they can show up ahead <strong>of</strong> the ceremony time to<br />

rehearse their part.<br />

Feel free to have your chaplain or a relative do<br />

the invocations.<br />
