will be used for the Eagle Prop, two for the
reception, and one or two to display your Scout
memorabilia.
Pick a Date Based on the availability of your preferred
location, pick a date and ask the Scoutmaster if
this date is acceptable. Consider other Troop
events, meetings, and trips when picking a date.
Ceremony Supplies Go to the Scout Office and purchase the
following supplies for the ceremony:
• Invitations
• Ceremony Programs
• Mother's Eagle Pin
• Father's Eagle Lapel Pin
Invitations Print and send out Eagle Invitations at least three
weeks in advance of the ceremony. Troop
mailing labels can be obtained from the
Scoutmaster.
Ceremony Reception Contact the Troop Ceremony Coordinator and
notify them of the location and date of your
ceremony. They will take care of coordinating

Download a sample Ceremony Script from the
troop website. Modify as you like and decide
who you would like to participate in your
ceremony. Ideally, Scouts of all ranks should
participate in the lighting of the rank candles.

Contact each ceremony participant and make
sure they can participate on this date and that
they can show up ahead of the ceremony time to
rehearse their part.
Feel free to have your chaplain or a relative do
the invocations.
