Eagle Application<br />

Task Description<br />

Requirement Completion Upon approval by the <strong>Troop</strong> Eagle <strong>Troop</strong><br />

Advisor that all requirements have been met,<br />

you can begin to complete the Eagle<br />

Application. The <strong>Troop</strong> Eagle Advisor will<br />

provide you with the <strong>of</strong>ficial application, or<br />

you can complete the application online at<br />

www.nesa.org and print it out. Note that the<br />

final Eagle requirement is a <strong>Scout</strong>master<br />

Conference, which you should schedule now.<br />

Draft Application Complete all sections (except for the<br />

signature section) for the <strong>Troop</strong> Advisor to<br />

review. Also go ahead and write your<br />

Statement <strong>of</strong> Ambitions and Life Purpose.<br />

You should attach your most recent Individual<br />

History Report and have a copy <strong>of</strong> your Eagle<br />

Project Workbook when you review the Eagle<br />

Letter <strong>of</strong><br />

Recommendation<br />

Final Application and<br />

Signatures<br />

Application with the advisor.<br />

Contact the 5 people who will write your<br />

letters <strong>of</strong> recommendation (6 if you have an<br />

employer), and add their names, addresses,<br />

and telephone numbers to the application. The<br />

Eagle Advisor will tell you how these letters<br />

should be addressed.<br />

Upon approval from the <strong>Troop</strong> Eagle Advisor,<br />

complete the <strong>of</strong>ficial Eagle <strong>Scout</strong> Application<br />

and sign it on page two. Do not enter the<br />

signature date until checking with the Eagle<br />

Advisor. Make appointments with the<br />

following individuals in this order:<br />

• Signature <strong>of</strong> Unit Leader – This should<br />

be signed by the <strong>Scout</strong>master. It is<br />

<strong>of</strong>ten done at the time <strong>of</strong> the<br />

<strong>Scout</strong>master Conference, but may be<br />

done later.<br />
