Close the earthing switch<br />

Tests on <strong>site</strong><br />
Push the pushbutton of the earthing switch<br />
electromechanical lock. If the cubicle is not<br />
equipped with this option, go directly to the<br />
following sequence.<br />
Insert the crank into hole 5 and turn it<br />
clockwise until the earthing switch position<br />
indicator reads “on”.<br />
The earthing switch is in closed position.<br />
The MV cables are short-circuited and<br />
earthed. The selector in this position<br />
prevents the insertion of the circuit-breaker.<br />
Set selector 4 to .<br />
This operation requires first to pull outward<br />
the selector and then to turn it.<br />
Turn selector 4 clockwise to position I.<br />

cover summarise the above-mentioned<br />
procedure.<br />
For more protection, it is possible to prevent<br />
the insertion of the circuit-breaker by setting<br />
the selector P as shown in the following<br />
drawing.<br />
