The shape of the precious movement
found in Sattler’s smallest regulators
precisely corresponds to the lovingly
manufactured movements found at the
beginning of the nineteenth century.
That era’s quality features – such as
hardened steel components and hard
brass for the base plates, pallet
bridges and minute wheel cocks milled
from solid material, and cylindrical
steel pins for the pillars – are used by
us in the same way they were in
vintage movements. Additionally, our
movements are equipped with seven
jewel and two ball bearings. Thus,
friction is further reduced and a very
small weight can supply enough energy
for a week, ensuring the clocks a long
life that will last for generations.
Classica 60 – Erwin Sattler’s Smallest Regulators
Thanks to their quiet ticking, the
charming »bedroom« regulator
models provide many people with an
entry into the world of exclusive
clocks. They are outfitted with a very
fine and extremely slim movement as
well as a lavish case created by a
master’s hand with fine side trim.
The Classica 60 is available with either
Roman or Arabic numerals on the
dial. The beautiful enamel dials with
their filigreed blued steel hands and
solid brass bezel lend these delicate
clocks a unique charm. The production
of the enamel dials alone is an art in
itself: the material, which is difficult to
work with, needs to be fired four
times during the production process
before a perfect piece is created.
The timeless classic shape of the case – which gives this clock
its name – goes well with all interior styles. The Classica 60
is available in black varnish or cherry wood, but can also be
purchased – like all our models – in individual hues, such as
blue varnish, for a surcharge.
