For centuries bracket, mantel, and console clocks have been
a fixed element of interior decoration. These are timekeepers
that look just right on any even surface. Their movements are
regulated by either a short pendulum
or an oscillating balance, the balance
spring of which ensures that after
the inversion point is reached the
pendulum energetically swings back.
Their appearance was influenced for
one by the style of their era and for
another by their intended use, with
decorative and functional aspects
dominating.
During the Renaissance, table clocks
were outfitted with numerous calendar
and other astronomical displays
alongside the hands showing the
hours and minutes. Sophisticated art
connoisseurs impressively demonstrated their interest in the
progression of science with them. Erwin Sattler maintains this

long tradition with a collection of table and wall clocks.
It is not necessary to point out that these models have also
been manufactured using exquisite manufacture techniques.
All of the movements we use, even
those containing spring barrels and
escapements, are made in-house.
These clocks’ level of quality is
precisely the same as for our
precision clocks. The technicians and
clockmakers working with Richard
Müller use all their skill to lend these
timekeepers a respectable degree
of rate precision.
Alongside the movements, the
dials, hands, and simple cases
are manufactured with the
greatest care. Every detail is given
proper consideration – the name
Erwin Sattler on the dial has stood for uncompromising
quality since 1903.
