To call the Stellina »the little sister of Stella« would be unjust
to both timekeepers. They do however share a number of
similarities and congruences: their measurements, for example,
are identical – as are the three little disks of glass that allow
an unimpeded view of the manufacture movement, which is
outfitted with a Swiss échappement and a so-called gear
stopwork on both models. The gear stopwork, also simply
known as the stopwork, limits the power reserve of the
movement to precisely eight days cleverly using the middle
tension of the mainspring and allowing for the most precise
rate of the movement.
Stellina – the Small Table Clock with Regulator-Dial
Dimensions: Height: 16 cm Width: 12 cm Depth: 8 cm
Naturally, the gear train of the Stellina also comprises ten
milled, gold-plated wheels making their rotations in twelve
precision ball bearings and eleven ruby bearings.
Both of the Stellina’s case variations are crafted in precious
woods. One variation contains a top and base of solid
macassar, while the second variation boasts polished wood
that has been painted silver. The sides of both variations
are lacquered black.
The Stellina boasts the regulator display so often seen in
Sattler’s products – a result of the company’s great affinity
for classic precision clocks – which features a large minute
hand and smaller subsidiary dials for hours and seconds.
A polished hand arbor, tempered navy blue steel hands, and
a high-gloss polish on the dial screws discretely underscore
the origins of the Stellina as that of Sattler.
The winding key is stored in the case’s base.
