8.2 Control cable for single axis (optional)<br />
Description The control cable for single axis is used when additional axes (e.g. <strong>KUKA</strong> linear<br />
unit or turntables) are controlled via the robot. In this case, the control cable<br />
is guided from the RDC box through the hollow shaft of axis 1 to a<br />
connector interface on the push-in module.<br />
8.3 Release device (optional)<br />
Description The release device can be used to move the manipulator manually after an accident<br />
or malfunction. The release device can be used for the motors of axes<br />
1 to 5. It cannot be used for axis 6, as this motor is not accessible. It is only for<br />
use in exceptional circumstances and emergencies (e.g. for freeing people).<br />
The release device is mounted on the base frame of the manipulator. This assembly<br />
also includes a ratchet and a set of plates with one plate for each motor.<br />
The plate specifies the direction of rotation for the ratchet and shows the<br />
corresponding direction of motion of the manipulator.<br />
