here, which will fill you in on the Canary islands’<br />
volcanic beginnings.<br />

sCooP a saving at Funchal’s farmer’s market. it’s the<br />
best place on the island to pick up souvenirs, because<br />
it’s stuffed with stalls selling things like straw bags<br />

of fresh fruit and exotic blooms. one of the most<br />
popular buys, though, is embroidered linen –<br />
tablecloths, for instance, are really good quality.<br />
