UTP 1817
Low carbon stick electrode for
CrNiMo-steels
Application field
UTP 1817 is a rutile coated stick electrode for joining and surfacing on stainless steels.
Base materials
1.4401, 1.4404, 1.4406, 1.4429, 1.4435, 1.4436, 1.4438, 1.4439, 1.4446, 1.4448
Properties of the weld metal
The weld deposit of UTP 1817 is stainless and IK-resistant (wet corrosion up to 400°C). Due to its high
Mo-content it has increased resistance to chloride containing media and pitting. Not magnetizeable.
