if your life’s passion leads you to
discover some incredibly different
way to achieve some relevant and
worthwhile objective, then DO IT.
And don’t look back.
No matter what you do, I
will share a few things that my 20s
have taught me. I made some major
bone-head no-no’s in my career path,
so I plead humility on every count.
But I learned from those errors
and turned stumbling blocks into
stepping stones. I recommend it.
I also recommend reading
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.
It’s a wonderful story about -- you
know what? Just read it.
Jewelry designer and fashion
columnist Sabrina Azadi inspired
by her love of antique crystal
doorknobs has created the Freedom
by Sabrina Azadi jewelry line.
The sparkling Austrian
crystals set against contrasting
leather cords expressing a distinct
organic style that’s fresh and
minimalist, yet sophisticated with
an edge. “Wearing crystals make
me feel powerful, it’s as if they are
somehow magical,” she says.
Each eye catching jewelry
collection is named after a place
that she loves, collections include:
St. Barts, South Beach, Malibu and
Crystal Cove. She also believes
Finally, learn about
yourself. Focus on your strengths
and work to develop them. I took
a strengths-inventory survey in
one of my college classes and after
learning my strengths, my state
of mind has constantly gravitated
toward positivity and confidence.
It’s always about what I CAN
do with what I have, rather than
what I CANNOT achieve because
of what I lack. As the righteous
Lao Tzu said, “Knowing others is
intelligence; knowing yourself is
true wisdom. Mastering others is
strength; mastering yourself is true
power.” Nosce te Ipsum!
“Freedom” A Unique Line
Of Jewelry
If it’s a framework you
need to retain the gems I impart, I
offer one here: Research, Respond,
and Resonate. Research: Do your
homework, especially on yourself
and WHO you are (Not just WHAT
you are.). Respond: Be True to
yourself and others. Respond is
the root of ‘Responsibility’. And
finally, Resonate: Make sure that
what you do resonates with your
true inner core. You owe it to
yourself and society to maintain
concordance between your inner
direction and outer machinations.
Onward and Upward!
that when it comes to jewelry, “you
must wear the piece and not let it
wear you.” This is why her jewelry
can be worn with an elegant cocktail
dress or a pair of jeans.
Sabrina was born in Iran,
raised and educated in London. She
has also lived in Miami where she
worked as an editor for a fashion
magazine. She now lives in Orange
County with her husband. Her last
name “Azadi” means freedom in
Farsi.
