The Saint George School 3R’s Recycling Program had another
successful year collecting over 3,000 pounds of paper and newspaper
deposited in the recycle boxes all around school, donated by the Parent’s
Association and many families who wanted to show that their family
cares about our environment and our planet. We also painted boxes
ourselves with Primary School helpers. Together we collected and
recycled over 1,00o pounds of plastic bottles as a community; many
students and families even brought from their home or office.
We started using the Green Brigade vest to help develop a sense of
pride and responsibility for our younger students. They feel they are now
accountable to get their job done. They come right after school, put on
their vests and go right to work emptying liquid from bottles, crushing
them and putting them in the barrel. They are learning to reduce what
they don’t need, reuse when they can, and recycle all the time. It makes
a difference! Thanks to the many students, teachers and staff from
Pre-School, Primary, Middle School and High School who automatically
recycle, help out by collecting paper and bottles, and are responsible
citizens who know that if they don’t do it, it won’t get done.
Start recycling right away at home by decorating a box and teaching
everyone in the house to collect plastic bottles and newspaper. It is so
easy, anyone can do it!

¿Qué hacen nuestros
estudiantes después de su
graduación? La respuesta a esta
pregunta es muy reconfortante
y nos llena de mucho orgullo.
Nuestros alumnos se insertan en el
mundo “real”, donde logran hacer la
diferencia, trascender y cambiar la
realidad de su entorno, siendo fiel a
su compromiso con la excelencia.
En este suplemento conocerán
qué hacen algunos de nuestros
alumnos cuando finalizan su labor
en nuestras aulas y se convierten
en profesionales. Ya sea en el país o
en el extranjero nuestros egresados
definitivamente dejan sus huellas
en cualquier ámbito en que se
encuentren. Este primer grupo
de egresados exitosos demuestra
como la pasión por lo que hacen
refleja quienes son. Verán egresados
exitosos en la diplomacia, industria,
finanzas, ciencias, informática y
deporte. Esperamos en algunos
años que muchos de nuestros
más jóvenes lectores; nuestros
estudiantes, formen parte de este
grupo de egresados exitosos y que
podamos compartir sus logros y
contribuciones con toda nuestra
comunidad educativa.
