On April 18th, 2013 Saint
George had its first Comic-Con.
This activity was organized by
the 10th grade group and their
teachers, Karina Sang and Elizabeth
Adkisson.
Some may wonder what is Comic-
Con. Comic-Con is a multigenre
convention where comic books,
manga, fantasy, science fiction,
videogames, film, cartoons, anime,
toys and novels, amongst others
are presented. During the SGS
Comic-Con 2013 the 10th grade
students were able to present their
original stories and characters to
the audience.
The characters and their stories
became alive when the students
dressed up as them, had interactive
booths which attracted people
and let the audience be part of
the stories. Trailers and games
were shown to the audience, and
there were also performances from
the characters such as Heroes vs.
Villains.
During the Comic-Con, Saint
George also received special
guests. These were the Dominican
actors and director from the first
Dominican superhero movie,
“Los Super”. The actors had an
interactive presentation and
entertained the audience. They
finished by signing flyers for the
attendees.
