Medical Option<br />
The goal of the Business office Technology program is to prepare students for employment in a business, legal or medical office. Graduates<br />
will acquire the office skills, business and medical or legal knowledge, and general education required of administrative assistants and others<br />
holding positions of similar responsibility. This curriculum is designed for students wishing to acquire specialized office administration<br />
skills and background in the medical field.<br />
Students will be prepared to work as medical administrative assistants in physicians' offices, hospitals and in medical offices of large firms.<br />

Upon successful completion of all program requirements, graduates<br />

1. Demonstrate a level of mathematical skill appropriate for<br />
employment in a medical office environment.<br />
2. Read, understand and prepare standard types of medical<br />
communications.<br />
3. Demonstrate appropriate interpersonal skills.<br />
4. Understand and use the medical terminology needed to<br />
succeed in his/her office environment.<br />
5. Employ appropriate medical office procedures.<br />
6. Possess appropriate skills in the following software:<br />
