Modifying Wigs<br />

A presentation of techniques for modifying<br />

existing wigs. The purpose of the modification<br />

would be to create a more natural effect<br />

and superior fit, or a heightened effect<br />

or other desired change. Techniques<br />

demonstrated will include ventilation, removal<br />

and re-insertion of wefting, inserting<br />

parts or comb-overs, bald spots, color<br />

streaks, adding length, and changing texture.<br />

Wireless dimming has made its way into<br />

hundreds of productions, via battery-powered,<br />

dmx-controlled, and completely untethered<br />

lighting in props, sets, and<br />

costumes. This panel discussion will focus<br />

on digital radio-frequency technology, primary<br />

and rechargeable batteries, lamps,<br />

LEDs, motors, other loads suitable for lowvoltage<br />

systems, and safety considerations.<br />

Guest designers and electricians will<br />

introduce their work and the design<br />

process that led them to using wireless.<br />
