The Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts
at Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria, California,
supports a unique, full-accredited vocational
training program for aspiring actors and
theatre technicians. Students are guided
through a rigorous two-year conservatory-style
training curriculum by a resident company of
professional actors, directors, designers, musical
directors, choreographers, and technicians.
It is the only training program of its kind in the
country offered by a community college. The
training manifests itself in year-round production
work with students apprenticing side-by-side
with practicing professionals in three different
theatre spaces and 11 productions.

more than a dozen plays and musicals each

to gain hands-on experience in its three professionally

Theatre Association. Pennsylvania
Centre Stage, an Equity theatre serving as
