The Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts<br />
at Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria, California,<br />
supports a unique, full-accredited vocational<br />
training program for aspiring actors and<br />
theatre technicians. Students are guided<br />
through a rigorous two-year conservatory-style<br />
training curriculum by a resident company of<br />
professional actors, directors, designers, musical<br />
directors, choreographers, and technicians.<br />
It is the <strong>only</strong> training program of its kind in the<br />
country offered by a community college. The<br />
training manifests itself in year-round production<br />
work with students apprenticing side-by-side<br />
with practicing professionals in three different<br />
theatre spaces and 11 productions.<br />

program emphasizing the theatre as a<br />
live and lively art form. The School produces<br />
more than a dozen plays and musicals each<br />
year, providing students with ample opportunity<br />
to gain hands-on experience in its three professionally<br />

by the National Association of Schools<br />

Theatre Association. Pennsylvania<br />
Centre Stage, an Equity theatre serving as<br />

design and a BFA with emphasis in <strong>stage</strong> management,<br />
