Brian Konechny is executive vice president<br />

Q1 Production Technologies. At Epic, Brian’s<br />

role is to provide strategic vision and guidance<br />

to the sales and integration team and to expand<br />

Kortney Konrath is a junior at Oklahoma<br />

City University majoring in theatre design and<br />

production with an emphasis in lighting design<br />

and programming. She was the resident<br />

summer lighting designer for Oklahoma Children’s<br />

Theatre for its summer 2007 season.<br />

She also has served as the production <strong>stage</strong><br />

manager for the Oklahoma Performing Arts<br />

Academy for its 2007 session and was the automation<br />

director for its production of Les<br />

Miserables.<br />

Thomas V. Korder is the technical director<br />

at the Krannert Center for the Performing<br />

Arts and assistant professor and interim chair<br />

of the scenic technology curriculum in the<br />

Tom is an investigator on research projects in<br />

motion control and fluid power systems and<br />

has taught numerous classes on these subjects.<br />

He is very active with USITT where he<br />

served for three years as the Commissioner<br />

for the Technical Production Commission as<br />

Exhibits Project Manager for the entry into the<br />

2007 Prague Quadrennial. He has presented<br />

numerous workshops and seminars at USITT<br />

national and regional conferences, Illinois Theatre<br />

Association conferences, and regional<br />

festivals of the American College Theatre Festival.<br />

David R. Krajec is a long <strong>time</strong>, active<br />

member of USITT. He has been the Education<br />

Commissioner and is currently in his second<br />

term as a Director at Large of USITT. He is past<br />

chair of USITT-Midwest Regional Section. He<br />

has presented at many conferences on a variety<br />

of subjects. He earned a BFA from Kent<br />

State University in 1976 and an MFA from<br />

Western Illinois University in 1986. He was an<br />

associate professor of theatre at Cardinal<br />

Stritch University until August 2007. He now<br />

is a system sales specialist at Main<strong>stage</strong> Theatrical<br />

Supply, Inc., in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.<br />

David Kriebs has been teaching <strong>stage</strong><br />

managers at The University of Maryland for a<br />

quarter century. He has served variously as<br />

production manager and technical director<br />

there and for small theatres in the Washington,<br />

DC area. He earned his MFA in technical<br />

production from Yale School of Drama and an<br />

engineering degree from the University of Tennessee.<br />

Ethan H. Krupp holds an MFA in theatre<br />

design and technology from University of<br />

Montana. He has designed lights, scenery,<br />

sound, or props for over 75 productions in<br />

professional theatres and collegiate settings in<br />

Lexington, Virginia; Missoula and Bigfork,<br />

Montana; Houston, Texas; and Bloomsburg,<br />

Pennsylvania. He has been the technical director<br />

for over 35 productions. He is working<br />

as an assistant professor/technical director/designer<br />

for the division of theatre arts at<br />

Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. He<br />

has been active in the Association of Theatre<br />

in Higher Education and presented multiple<br />

<strong>time</strong>s at the annual ATHE conference. This is<br />

his first <strong>time</strong> attending the USITT conference.<br />

Pam Lavarnway is a member of the design/technology<br />

faculty at Wright State University<br />

in Dayton, Ohio and has designed<br />

Garden, and Chess. In the summer, she coteaches<br />

a seminar on Teachers Training for<br />

Scene Painting at Cobalt Studios with Susan<br />

Crabtree. She also has designed scenery for<br />

The Human Race Theatre Company and Victoria<br />

Theatre Association in Dayton, and for<br />

Milwaukee’s Skylight Opera Theatre. She is a<br />

member of United Scenic Artists Local 829.<br />

Nathan K. Lee is currently in his fourth<br />

year as an assistant professor of theatre at<br />

Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. His<br />

recent scene designs were Raised in Captivity<br />

for Fort Lewis and Maybe Baby, It’s You for<br />

The Okoboji Summer Theatre in Iowa. He also<br />

worked as the technical director for Okoboji.<br />

He holds an MFA in scene design and lighting<br />

from the University of Hawaii, Manoa. He is<br />

looking for all theatre related syllabi to archive<br />

board. He received the USITT-SE Founders<br />

Award as the Outstanding Educator in Theatrical<br />

Design and Technology for 1991-92.<br />

Over the past 16 years, he has held various<br />

positions in USITT on the regional and national<br />

levels. Since the Nashville Conference,<br />

he has been actively involved with programming<br />

for the conference and is currently President<br />

Gwendolyn M. Lindsay is in her final<br />

year at Michigan State University getting her<br />

MFA in scene design. She is working on a<br />

project for MSU’s production of The Who’s<br />

Tommy, creating virtual worlds for the characters<br />

using 3DsMax. She has worked on both<br />

school and professional designs and plans to<br />

continue designing professionally after graduation.<br />

Marcy Linton has worked as a draper at<br />

several theatres across the country including<br />

the Oregon, Colorado, and Utah Shakespeare<br />

festivals; PlayMakers Repertory; and The Signature<br />

of costume technology at the University of Virginia.<br />

She received her BFA from the North<br />

Carolina School for the Arts and MFA from the<br />

University of North Carolina Chapel Hill.<br />
