Candidates for the Degree of M. DC. in Class Ill.<br />

will undertake, under the direction of the Professor, a<br />

detailed study of selected aspects of Botany, and<br />

will present a Dissertation dealing with a previously<br />

approved of subject.<br />

ZOOLOGY.<br />

Candidates for the Degree of M.Sc. in Class I. will<br />

be required to pl,lrsue, under the direction of the Professor,<br />

a course of study in some suitable field of<br />

Zoology, and to embody in a Dissertation the results<br />

of their original investigation of some selected subject<br />

of research.<br />

Candidates for the Degree of M.Se. in Class Ill.<br />

will undertake, under the direction of the Professor, a<br />

detailed study of selected aspects of Zoology, and<br />

will present a Dissertation dealing with a previously<br />

approved of subject.<br />

GEOLOGY.<br />

1. Original Research in the Geological Laboratory for<br />

three Terms, under the direction of the Professor, and<br />

attending lectures suggested by the Professor.<br />

2. Candidates for M.Sc. (Class I.) may be examined<br />

orally on subjects cognate to the research.<br />

3. Candidates for i'.l.Sc. (Class ITI.) will be subjected<br />

to an Examination involving a detailed and<br />

critical knowledge of B.Sc. Honours (Geology).<br />

Examination Course.<br />

The subjects of the Examinations (Written and<br />

Practical) are-<br />

The subject-matter of the B.Sc. Honours Course<br />

in Geology, but involving a more detailed and<br />

critical knowledge.<br />

Candidates may also be examined on the subject of<br />

the Dissertation.<br />
