5. Liability for lectures (a) of a Professor or
Lecturer whose duties extend over at least two full
CoUege terms, and (b) of an Assistant or Clinical
Lecturer ;-
(a) He shall not be liable for the remuneration of
his substitute or any part thereof for the
first two months of his absence in any consecutive
period of three years from the date
of his appointment.
(b) He shall be liable for half the remuneration of
his substitute for any period of absence
after two months' absence continuously or
in the aggregate exceeding two but less
than four months in any such period.
(c) He shall be liable for the entire remuneration
of his substitute for any period of absence
after four months' absence continuously or
in the aggregate in any such period.
6. Liability for lectures of a Profess.)r or Lccturer
whose duties do not extend over at least two full
College terms;-
(a) He shall not be liable for the remuneration of
his substitute or any part lthereof for the
first term he is absent during any consecutive
period of three years from the date of
his appointment.
(b) He shall be liable for the entire remuneration
of his substitute for any period of absence
after one term's absence continuously or in
the aggregate in any such period.
7. Liability of a Professor or Lecturer fOT Colle!]e
or University Examinations which he is bound to
conduct ;-
(a) He shall not be liable for the remuneration of
his substitute for the first such Examination
frOJD. which he is absent in any CODtlecutive
period of three years from the date
