CHAPTER x:.V.<br />
Of Punishments.<br />
Any Student guilty of any of the following offences<br />
shall be liable to expulsion from the Collcge ; but it shall<br />
be competent to the Council, should they deem it more<br />
conducive to the discipline of the College. and the<br />
reformation of the offender, to impose some lighter punishment<br />
for the same :-<br />
1. Habitual neglect of attendance for Divine Worship at such church<br />
or chapel as shall be approved by his parents or guardians.<br />
2. Habitual neglect of attendance on the religious instruction provided<br />
for Studeuts of his church or denomination.<br />
3. Immoral or dishonest practices.<br />
4. Treasonable or seditious conduct.<br />
5. Drunkeuness.<br />
6. Grievous offences against College rules or discipline.<br />
7. Wilful and serious injury to the property of the College.<br />
For all offences and violations of the Statutes of the<br />
College, or of the Decrees or other regulations of the<br />
College Council, of a less grievous nature than the preceding,<br />
the Council shall have power to inflict such fine<br />
{)r other punishment as shall appear to them suitable to<br />
the same.<br />
No Student shall be allowed to enter or pursue bis<br />
-studies in the said Queen·s College while under sentence<br />
of temporary exclusion, or after expulsion from anyone<br />
of the Colleges founded under the said Act ef Parliament.<br />
CHAPTER XVI.<br />
Of the Residences of Students, and tlte llea1tS of Residences.<br />
Every Matriculated Student, being under the age of<br />
twenty-one years, shall be required to reside dllring the<br />
College Terms with his parent or guardian, or with<br />
some relation or friend to whose care be shall bave been<br />
committed by his parent or guardian, and who shall have<br />
been approved of by the })resident, or in a Boardinghouse<br />
licensed and arranged for the reception of Students<br />
in the manner hereinafter described.<br />
