first time, and £1 for each re-attendance on the same;<br />
except that the fee payable for the Course of Anatomy<br />
and Physiology shall be £3 when attended for the first<br />
time, and £2 for every subsequent attendance; except<br />
also that the fee payable for Practical Anatomy or Practical<br />
Chemistry shall be £3 for each attendance.<br />
In the case of Students receiving special instruction<br />
not prescribed as a qualification for a degree or other<br />
University distinctIOn, or attending Honor Courses of<br />
Lectures, the Council shall have power to fix the amount<br />
of the fee to be paid by each Student; provided that the<br />
fee to be paid for any Honor Course of Lectures which<br />
Students are entitled to substitute for a prescribed Pass<br />
Cour!::e, shall in no case be less than £2.<br />
No Professor shall be entitled to claim the fees of any<br />
Class of Students, except so long as that Class shall be<br />
required by the Council to attend his instruction: and it<br />
shall be the duty of the Council to revise and amend the<br />
Regulations prescribing Courses of Study from time to<br />
time, wheneycr thev deem it conducive to the interests of<br />
education and of the Students so to do, irrespective of<br />
considerations affecting the incomes of Professors.<br />
CHAPTER XIX.<br />
Ad-eundem Students.<br />
It shall be competent to the Council to permit any<br />
Student who shall have pursued part of his collegiate<br />
studies in anyone of the Colleges founded under the said<br />
Act of Parliament, or in any University capable of granting<br />
Degrees in the several Faculties of Arts, Law, and<br />
:Medicine, and any Legal or Medical Stuaent who shall<br />
have pursued part of his legal or medical studies under<br />
teachers recognised, or to be recognised, by the Senate<br />
of the Queen's University, on passing such examinations<br />
and fulfilling such other conditions as the Council shall<br />
prescribe, to take corresponding rank in this College, and<br />
also to compete for Scholarships or other prizes of the<br />
James Hardiman Library, NUI Galway
