Eleven measurement points were selected for AP placement (A, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, R,<br />

E-3M, N-3M). TX was located 2 meters from <str<strong>on</strong>g>the</str<strong>on</strong>g> AP. A trolley was used to carry RX<br />

and RX was moved around all measurement points. A data file (10.9 MB) was sent from<br />

TX to RX in each measurement point, and a stopwatch was used to measure<br />

transmissi<strong>on</strong> time. The <strong>Wi</strong>relessM<strong>on</strong> s<str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>tware was used to measure RSS at each RX<br />

locati<strong>on</strong>.<br />

By c<strong>on</strong>ducting extensive experiments, we gained an insight into RSS and throughput <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />

an AP placement in an obstructed <str<strong>on</strong>g>of</str<strong>on</strong>g>fice envir<strong>on</strong>ment. The experimental results are<br />

presented in chapter 5 (secti<strong>on</strong> 5.2).<br />
