I.TRANSITIONAL MEASURES FOR CROATIA<br />

1. 32001 L 0113: Council Directive 2001/113/EC of 20 December 2001 relating to fruit jams,<br />

jellies <strong>and</strong> marmalades <strong>and</strong> sweetened chestnut purée intended for human consumption (OJ L<br />

10, 12.1.2002, p. 67).<br />

By way of derogation from <strong>the</strong> obligation laid down in Article 8, <strong>the</strong> marketing of products<br />

designated under <strong>the</strong> names "domaća marmelada" <strong>and</strong> "ekstra domaća marmelada" shall be<br />

permitted on <strong>the</strong> <strong>Croatia</strong>n market until clearance of <strong>the</strong> stock existing at <strong>the</strong> date of accession.<br />

2. 32006 R 0510: Council Regulation (EC) No 510/2006 of 20 March 2006 on <strong>the</strong> protection of<br />

geographical indications <strong>and</strong> designations of origin for agricultural products <strong>and</strong> foodstuffs<br />

(OJ L 93, 31.03.2006, p. 12 <strong>and</strong> OJ L 335M, 13.12.2008, p. 213).<br />

(a) In Article 5(8), <strong>the</strong> second subparagraph is replaced by <strong>the</strong> following:<br />

'Bulgaria, Romania <strong>and</strong> <strong>Croatia</strong> shall introduce <strong>the</strong> said laws, regulations or<br />

administrative provisions not later than one year after <strong>the</strong>ir respective date of accession.'<br />

(b) In Article 5(11), <strong>the</strong> first subparagraph is replaced by <strong>the</strong> following:<br />

'11. In <strong>the</strong> case of Bulgaria, Romania <strong>and</strong> <strong>Croatia</strong>, <strong>the</strong> national protection of<br />

geographical indications <strong>and</strong> designations of origin existing on <strong>the</strong> date of <strong>the</strong>ir<br />

accession may continue for twelve months from <strong>the</strong>ir respective date of accession.'<br />
