(a) By 31 December 2018, compliance with <strong>the</strong> Directive shall be achieved in agglomerations<br />

with a population equivalent of more than 15 000, except for <strong>the</strong> following coastal<br />

agglomerations:<br />

Bibinje - Sukošan,<br />

Biograd,<br />

Jelsa - Vrboska,<br />

Makarska,<br />

Mali Lošinj,<br />

Malinska - Njivice,<br />

Nin,<br />

Pirovac - Tisno - Jezera,<br />

Pula - sjever,<br />

Vela Luka,<br />

Vir.<br />

(b) By 31 December 2020, compliance with <strong>the</strong> Directive shall be achieved in agglomerations<br />

with a population equivalent of more than 10 000 whose waste water is discharged into<br />

sensitive areas, as well as for treatment plants which are situated in <strong>the</strong> relevant catchment<br />

areas of <strong>the</strong> Danube <strong>and</strong> o<strong>the</strong>r sensitive areas <strong>and</strong> that contribute to <strong>the</strong> pollution of <strong>the</strong>se<br />

areas, <strong>and</strong> in <strong>the</strong> 11 coastal agglomerations listed in point (a) above.<br />

(c) By 31 December 2023, compliance with <strong>the</strong> Directive shall be achieved in agglomerations<br />

with a population equivalent of more than 2 000.<br />
