Make Your Own Costume—Caution Tape
You can make another simple costume out of caution tape. Caution tape is available at
many hardware stores and is fairly inexpensive. It takes only a few minutes to wrap
your model and cover or reveal any particular areas. You can use a piece of tape to
hold the caution tape in place before you begin wrapping. This kind of a costume is
best used with a model that you have already worked with before. You should be careful
when wrapping to keep it professional and not be “grabby” or accidentally brush
your hand against her. Your photographs may suffer if she does not appreciate the
familiarity, because it will be difficult for her to conceal her feelings while posing. The
expressions will definitely show her discomfort. The reputation you develop as a photographer
is based on how you behave. Even if the model is your wife or girlfriend,
keep it professional.
