CAREER NOTES
Three-year NBA veteran originally selected by the Bobcats with the 22nd overall
pick in the 2007 NBA Draft… Acquired by the Suns on Dec. 10, 2008, along with
Jason Richardson and a 2010 second-round pick in exchange for Raja Bell, Boris
Diaw and Sean Singletary… Owns career averages of 6.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and
1.1 assists in 223 games (22 starts), including 7.2 points and 3.3 rebounds in 130
games (one start) with Phoenix… After joining the Suns in 2008-09, averaged
5.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 0.81 steals and 15.2 minutes in 48 appearances with
Phoenix following the trade… Became one of the Suns’ most consistent reserves
after the All-Star break in 2009, playing in 30 of 31 games under Alvin Gentry,
including 20 consecutive to finish the season, and averaging 7.8 points, 4.8
rebounds and 1.03 steals in 20.4 minutes… Among NBA rookies in 2007-08, ranked
seventh in field goal percentage, eighth in steals, 12th in rebounding, tied for 14th
in assists and tied for 17th in scoring… Scored in double figures 17 times and
tallied four double-doubles… Scored a then career-high 19 points in a career-high
42 minutes on April 12, 2008 at Indiana… His 18 rebounds vs. Golden State tied
the third-best single-game total by a Bobcats player in 2007-08.
College
Named 2006-07 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Player of the Year after averaging
a collegiate career-best 19.0 points and 8.3 rebounds…Finished his career
ranked fifth on Boston College’s career scoring list with 2,071 points…Ranks
among BC’s career leaders in field goals made (seventh, 689), free throws
made (fourth, 573), rebounds (seventh, 936) and steals (eighth,
176)…Started every game that he played at BC (130)…A unanimous All-
ACC First Team selection and a John Wooden Award finalist, he posted 10
double-doubles, including a season-high 30 points and 10 rebounds in a
win over Michigan State…One of two BC players all-time to make four
consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances (Sean Marshall)…As a junior,
started all 36 games, averaging 16.7 points, 6.6 rebounds, 3.2 assists and
1.1 steals…Earned Second Team All-ACC honors…Scored in double-figures
33 times, including 12 games with 20-plus points…During his sophomore
season, averaged 16.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.6
steals…Earned Big East All-Conference honors and shared the league’s Most
