In his 16th <strong>NBA</strong> season and his third in <strong>Phoenix</strong>, continued to prove doubters wrong with his durability and<br />

production at the age of 37… A season after playing in all 82 contests, saw action in 81 games, 80 or more in<br />

two-straight campaigns for the first time since 1995-96 to 1997-98 (three consecutive)… Became the <strong>11</strong>th player<br />

in <strong>NBA</strong> history to play in 80 or more games in multiple seasons after the age of 36... Overall, in three seasons in<br />

<strong>Phoenix</strong> has played in 233 of a possible 246 regular season games (.947)… Including all 82 games in 2008-09<br />

and the first 46 of 2009-10, played in 128 consecutive games, the second-longest streak of his career… It trailed<br />

only a career-best 161-game streak more than 10 years earlier from Nov. 18, 1997-Jan. 22, 2000… Due to a bruised<br />

heel, 128-game streak ended on Jan. 26, which would wind up as the only game missed by Hill in 2009-10…<br />

Averaged <strong>11</strong>.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 30.0 minutes while shooting 47.8 percent from the field,<br />

including a career-high 43.8 percent from three-point range, and 81.7 percent from the free-throw line… Became<br />

the 16th active player to reach 15,000 career points on Jan. 13… <strong>Suns</strong>’ second-leading rebounder overall, recorded<br />

his highest rebounding average since 2002-03… His 5.5-rebound average was his highest in a season in which<br />

he played at least 50 games since 1999-00… Six double-digit rebounding efforts, his most as a Sun (five in 2008-<br />

09, four in 2007-08)… Has grabbed 13 or more rebounds in a game five times since joining the <strong>Suns</strong> and three<br />

of those came in 2009-10… As a Sun, single-season career-high six (5-1) double-doubles (all points/rebounds)…<br />

Made a single-season career-high 35 three-pointers, surpassing his previous mark of 34 in 1999-00, to go along<br />

with his career-best three-point percentage… Joined the <strong>Suns</strong> with 65 three-pointers made in 12 career seasons<br />

and a 25.1-percent career three-point efficiency (65-of-259) and has made 92 three-pointers at a 35.4-percent<br />

clip (92/260) with <strong>Phoenix</strong>… Closed the season by making 22 of his final 50 attempts from long range (.440)<br />

after making 13 three-pointers in the campaign’s first 41 games… Has shot 80 percent or better from the freethrow<br />

line in all three seasons in <strong>Phoenix</strong>, something he did three times in 12 previous career seasons… Scored<br />

in double figures 50 times and the <strong>Suns</strong> compiled a 36-14 record in those contests… Also notched five 20-point<br />

efforts (3-2), including a season-high 23 points Nov. 1 vs. Minnesota… Reached 14 or more points 17 times in<br />

the season’s final 45 games after doing so just eight times in the first 36 contests… Got off to one of the best<br />

statistical starts of his career… Scored 18 or more points in three-straight games to open a season for the first<br />

time since 1999-00 (four consecutive)… Opened the season with double-doubles in three of the first four games<br />

for the first time in his career (did so in three of his first five in 1995-96)… At home, averaged <strong>11</strong>.8 points and<br />

scored in double figures in 24 of 40 games (18-6).<br />

Seven-time <strong>NBA</strong> All-Star (1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2001 and 2005) but did not play in the 2001 game due<br />

to injury… Named to an All-<strong>NBA</strong> Team five times, including First Team once (1996-97) and All-<strong>NBA</strong> Second Team<br />

four times (1995-96, 1997-98, 1998-99, 1999-00)… Winner of the <strong>NBA</strong>’s Sportsmanship Award (Joe Dumars trophy)<br />

a league-record three times in 2004-05, 2007-08 and 2009-10... Only player in <strong>NBA</strong> history to win the award even<br />

twice, first player in <strong>Suns</strong> history to win it overall... Winner of the 2007-08 Dan Majerle Hustle Award... Member<br />

of the 1996 United States Olympic Men’s Basketball Team, where he helped “Dream Team III” capture the gold<br />

medal in Atlanta… Also named to the 2000 U.S. Olympic Team, but did not participate due to injury… Named to<br />

the <strong>NBA</strong>’s All-Interview First Team in 1996-97 and 1999-00, and named to the All-Interview Second Team in 1994-95,<br />

1995-96, 1997-98 and 1998-99… Earned <strong>NBA</strong> Player of the Week honors six times (March 18, 1996; January 20,<br />

1997; April 7, 1997; May 2, 1999; January 9, 2000 and November 21, 2004) and <strong>NBA</strong> Player of the Month once<br />

(January 1997)… Originally selected with the third overall pick by the Pistons in the 1994 <strong>NBA</strong> Draft and shared<br />

<strong>NBA</strong> Rookie of the Year honors with Jason Kidd in 1994-95… Named to the All-Rookie team… Became the first<br />

rookie ever to lead an <strong>NBA</strong> All-Star fan balloting in 1994-95 with 1,289,585 votes.<br />
