Second-year player originally selected by the <strong>Suns</strong> with the 15th overall<br />
pick in the first round of the 2008 <strong>NBA</strong> Draft… Became the fifth<br />
Stanford Cardinal selected by the <strong>Suns</strong> in franchise history, joining Casey<br />
Jacobsen (2002), Kimberly Belton (1980), Mike Bratz (1977) and Claude<br />
Terry (1972)… 16th early entry candidate selected by <strong>Phoenix</strong> in draft<br />
history… In his rookie <strong>NBA</strong> season, averaged 3.2 points, 2.0 rebounds, 0.68<br />
blocks and 10.2 minutes in 60 games (seven starts)… Made all seven starts<br />
in place of Shaquille O’Neal and in those opportunities averaged 2.3 points,<br />
1.1 rebounds and 1.0 blocks… Averaged 3.2 blocks per 48 minutes (28th-<br />
<strong>NBA</strong>)… His 51.8-percent field goal shooting (71-of-137) would have been<br />
good enough for third-best among rookies and 17th-best in the league<br />
overall if he had enough attempts to qualify (min. 300 FGM)… Recorded<br />
his first career start on Nov. 7 at Chicago and in that game, notched his<br />
first career double-digit scoring effort with 14 points… Grabbed a then<br />
career-high <strong>11</strong> rebounds in 26 minutes at Minnesota on April <strong>11</strong>, the first<br />
double-digit rebounding effort of his career… Made <strong>NBA</strong> debut in the season<br />
opener at San Antonio on Oct. 29, tallying three points and two rebounds in<br />
nine minutes…Represented the <strong>Suns</strong> in the 2008 <strong>NBA</strong> Summer League in Las<br />
Vegas where he averaged 14.0 points and team-highs of 7.8 rebounds and 1.8<br />
blocks in four appearances… His summer league was cut short after being<br />
selected to the USA Basketball Men’s Select Team, which helped the Men’s Senior<br />
National Team train for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing… Was one of<br />
just three rookies (Minnesota’s Kevin Love, Portland’s Jerryd Bayless) named<br />
to the team… Member of the <strong>Suns</strong>’ 2009 Las Vegas Summer League squad<br />
where he averaged <strong>11</strong>.8 points (3rd-team), 6.6 rebounds (2nd-team) and 2.0<br />
blocks (1st-team) in five games (all starts), including 24 points and 16<br />
rebounds in the club’s first game on July 13 against Dallas.<br />
College<br />
Two-year collegiate standout at Stanford where he averaged 8.9 points,<br />
5.6 rebounds and 2.33 blocked shots in 67 career games (61 starts)…<br />
As a sophomore, received Honorable Mention All-Pac-10 honors and was<br />
named to the Pac-10’s All-Defensive Team… Finished his college career<br />
with the second-most career blocks in Stanford history (156) despite<br />
playing just two seasons… Recorded two of the three most prolific<br />
single-season block totals in school history with 83 blocks in<br />
2007-08 (2nd-most all-time) and a freshman-record 73 blocks in<br />
2006-07 (3rd-most)… In his second and final season with the<br />
Cardinal, averaged 10.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 2.31 blocks,<br />
including 12.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.67 blocks in three NCAA<br />
Tournament games… Registered 14 points and five blocked shots<br />
vs. Cornell in the first round of the 2008 NCAA Tournament and<br />
followed that up with an 18-point, nine-rebound, three-block<br />
performance vs. Marquette in the second round… As a freshman,<br />
averaged 7.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and a Pac-10-best 2.35 blocks.<br />
Personal<br />
A native of Fresno, Calif., is a film enthusiast who also enjoys comic<br />
books, drawing, writing, playing volleyball and swimming… From<br />
a family rich with sports tradition… Mother, Deborah Ledford, was<br />
a collegiate swimmer at Stanford ranked second in the world in<br />
the 400 individual medley who tried out for the 1968 U.S. Olympic<br />
team… Has three brothers, Alexander, Christopher and Brook, and<br />
one sister, Ursula Richardson… Oldest brother, Alexander, who<br />
is 6-foot-10, played college basketball at Santa Clara and<br />
Washington while older brother Christopher, who is 6-foot-7,<br />
passed on college basketball scholarships to pursue a career<br />
as a movie producer… Twin brother, Brook, who was a<br />
teammate at Stanford, was taken 10th overall in the 2008<br />
<strong>NBA</strong> Draft by the New Jersey Nets… Brook is one minute<br />
older than Robin… After the <strong>NBA</strong>, would like to work as a<br />
