In his second NBA season, both with the Suns, blossomed after becoming the club’s starting center midway through
the season… In his sophomore season, nearly doubled his averages from his rookie campaign, averaging a careerhigh
8.4 points, career-high 4.9 rebounds, career-high 1.0 blocks and a career-best 19.3 minutes in 51 games,
including a career-high 31 starts… Shot a career-high 58.8 percent from the field (171-of-291), which would have
ranked third in the NBA if he reached statistical minimum to qualify (min. 300 FGM)… Inserted into the starting
lineup on Jan. 18 at Memphis and subsequently averaged 11.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 24.5 minutes
in 31 games… The Suns compiled a 22-9 (.710) record in his starts… Scored in double figures in 19 of 31 starts
after entering the season with three double-digit scoring efforts as a rookie… In just his 29th game of the season
on Feb. 1, surpassed his scoring total from his entire rookie season… Scored in double figures in four-straight
games three different times (Jan. 15-20, Jan. 31-Feb. 5, Feb. 16-Feb. 21) after entering the season with three
