<strong>11</strong>/9: Steve Nash tied Kevin Johnson’s franchise<br />
record with his seventh career 20-assist<br />
game, all as a Sun, in a game at<br />
Philadelphia. Nash became the first player in<br />
<strong>NBA</strong> history to record multiple 20-assist<br />
efforts in the first eight games of a season.<br />
12/1: Alvin Gentry earned first career <strong>NBA</strong><br />
Western Conference Coach of the Month<br />
award after leading the <strong>Suns</strong> to a franchiserecord<br />

12/29: Traded Alando Tucker, a conditional secondround<br />
pick and cash considerations to the<br />
Timberwolves for Jason Hart. The <strong>Suns</strong> then<br />

1/21: Steve Nash and Amar’e Stoudemire named<br />
starters on the Western Conference All-Star<br />
team. The annual game was held in Dallas,<br />
TX, at Cowboys Stadium.<br />
1/23: Leandro Barbosa underwent surgery to<br />
remove a cyst on his right wrist.<br />
1/28: <strong>Suns</strong> overcame a double-digit deficit with a<br />
reserve-led effort, defeating the Dallas<br />
Mavericks <strong>11</strong>2-106 at US Airways Center. The<br />
win propelled the previously struggling <strong>Suns</strong><br />
to a 28-7 finish to the season, the best mark<br />
of any Western Conference team.<br />
2/13: Steve Nash won the PlayStation Skills<br />
Challenge on <strong>NBA</strong> All-Star Saturday.<br />
Channing Frye participated in three-point<br />
shootout.<br />
3/9: Channing Frye (one-game suspension) and<br />
Jason Richardson (fine) among five <strong>Suns</strong><br />
and Pacers either fined or suspended by the<br />
<strong>NBA</strong> following an altercation during a game<br />
between the two clubs on March 6.<br />
3/15: Assigned Earl Clark to the Iowa Energy of<br />
the <strong>NBA</strong> D-League. Clark was recalled on<br />
March 21.<br />
3/28: Robin Lopez was sidelined by a back injury<br />
that winds up keeping him out of the regular<br />
season’s final 10 games and the first two<br />
rounds of the playoffs. Lopez returned for<br />
the Western Conference Finals.
