Eastern Washington University Complete your Bachelor’s degree at Bellevue Community College Take upper-level classes on BCC’s campus through Eastern Washington University Eastern Washington University and Bellevue Community College are working together to offer career advancement opportunities through high-quality bachelor’s degree completion programs. In spring of 2005 the two schools formally committed to the creation of Eastern Washington University @ Bellevue, a university center on the BCC campus offering upper division courses that lead to four of EWU’s bachelor’s degrees: BS IN APPLIED TECHNOLOGY: EWU’s Bachelor of Science in Technology degree program allows students to continue their education by taking liberal arts courses, additional advanced technology courses and supporting courses to complete a Bachelor of Science degree. If you have an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree from an eligible program, such as BCC’s, you can complete the bachelor’s program right here on the Bellevue Community College campus. BA IN BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION: EWU’s Business program provides a balance of theoretical foundation and practical application, with an emphasis on analysis, critical thinking and intellectual inquiry. Students will gain an understanding of economic, social, ethical, and legal business environments along with principals of accounting, finance, management, marketing, production, and quantitative analysis. BA IN CHILDREN’S STUDIES: EWU’s major in Children’s Studies is part of a four-year higher education BA degree that includes Core courses and Option C that focuses primarily on Early Childhood Education (ECE). Building on ECE from associate degree-granting institutions, such as BCC, the Children’s Studies program is concerned with the study and practice of the holistic development, learning, and social issues of young children. BA IN INTERDISCIPLINARY STUDIES: EWU’s Interdisciplinary Studies degree can be tailored to entrance requirements for graduate schools, professional programs or specialty career fields. Students will gain research and statistical skills as well as a solid foundation in the Social Sciences. Enjoy a wide and varied curriculum with courses in Economics, Government, Sociology, Communication Studies, Psychology, Anthropology, History, Geography, and Women’s Studies.
