4.0 PLACEMENT OF ORDER
GAIL shall place the PO on the short listed Bidder. GAIL also reserves the right
to reject any or all the bids without assigning any reason what so ever.
After placing the FOI, the vendor shall submit the detailed Project Schedule to
the Engineer-In-Charge stating the dates and activities planned including the
details of the engineers that will be deployed for the installation and
configuration of the PCs and associated peripherals.
5.0 SITE READINESS
5.1 Site Preparation
The site for installation of the equipment/materials shall be provided by
GAIL for the installation of equipments along with the power supply up
to the point of UPS (Indian style 5 AMP power socket will be provided).
5.2 Inspection/Acceptance Testing
QAPLUS tests shall be run for CPU, RAM, hard disk, floppy drive and
result should confirm to the Diagnostic report, submitted by the Bidder.
5.3 Acceptance Test at GAIL Offices
On completion of installation of the equipment but before
commissioning by the SUPPLIER, each item of the equipment shall be
physically inspected on-site jointly by GAIL and Bidder for the
correctness and the completeness of the installation and acceptability
for start-up.
The acceptance test, which involves the operation of the complete
system, will be conducted by the Bidder in the presence of the GAIL
representative. The system will be accepted subject to the compliance
of the tests to the satisfaction of GAIL.
In case of failures, the acceptance tests will be restarted provided the
maximum number of restarts shall not exceed two in number. System
failing in final acceptance test is likely to be rejected and would require
replacement immediately.
In case the vendor found to be supply the items not as per the quoted
specifications, EIC has a right to reject the material at site(s) and
vendor shall be responsible for replacement of the same without any
cost and time implications. The final payment for the same shall be
released after resolution of all identified problems.
5.4 Acceptance of Software
