Engine MSS <strong>Fly</strong> 50 <strong>4T</strong><br />
Inspecting the hub shaft<br />
- Check the three shafts for wear or distortion of<br />
the toothed surfaces, the bearing housings, and<br />
the oil seal housings.<br />
- In case of anomalies, replace the damaged com-<br />
ponents.<br />
- Check capacity ( A ) of the transmission gear<br />
(wear, deformations, etc.)<br />
- Check the pulley shaft seating: Superficial wear<br />
( B ) may indicate irregularities in the crankcase<br />
seatings or in the pulley shaft capacities<br />
Inspecting the hub cover<br />
- Check that the fitting surface is not dented or dis-<br />
torted.<br />
- If faults are found, replace the hub cover.<br />
Refitting the wheel axle bearing<br />
- Support the hub cover on a wooden surface<br />
- Heat up the hub cover using the thermal gun.<br />
- Preassemble the bearing on the specific punch<br />
using grease and then insert the bearing in its<br />
seating<br />
- Refit the seeger ring and the oil seal using the 42<br />
x 47 mm adaptor<br />
