DMM AND PUBLICATION 122 REVISION<br />

Indemnity Claims and Appeals<br />

Effective <strong>September</strong> <strong>29</strong>, <strong>2005</strong>, Mailing Standards of the<br />

United States Postal Service, Domestic Mail Manual<br />

(DMM) and Publication 122, Customers Guide to Filing<br />

Domestic Insurance Claims and Registered Mail Inquiries,<br />

are revised to clarify the time limits for filing military claims,<br />

the wording for certain nonpayable claims, and the address<br />

for filing appeals with the Consumer Advocate.<br />

We will incorporate these revisions into the next printed<br />

editions of the DMM and Publication 122 and into the next<br />

online updates available on the Postal Service PolicyNet<br />
