Some of these have already been set up to ensure enquiries from project<br />

stakeholders are handled in the correct manner, including logging the query,<br />

tracking the progress of answering queries and so that they and can be<br />

followed up if required within satisfactory timescales.<br />

As expected in a project of this nature and scale regular progress and technical<br />

meetings will be held between <strong>BAE</strong> Systems and key stakeholders. The type<br />

and frequency of such meetings will be driven by project requirements.<br />

Apart from the other forms of communication the public have to hand (listed<br />

above) it is a <strong>BAE</strong> Systems requirement that the project site is registered with<br />

the Considerate Constructors Scheme. This important initiative operates<br />

voluntary Site and Company Codes of Considerate Practice, with which<br />

participating construction companies and sites register.<br />

The Site and Company Codes of Considerate Practice commit those<br />

contractors and construction companies in the Scheme to be considerate and<br />

good neighbours, as well as clean, respectful, safe, environmentally conscious,<br />

responsible and accountable.<br />

All contractors engaged on development works will be required to interpret this<br />

overall <strong>Traffic</strong> <strong>Management</strong> <strong>Plan</strong> and include standing orders for routes and<br />

access points within any sub-contract and service agreements.<br />

These will require to be submitted to <strong>BAE</strong> Systems Plc for approval and<br />

incorporation into the terms and conditions of supply contracts.<br />
