Proposed Store Development, Wallneuk Road, Paisley - 9692
§ Having completed the initial preliminary investigation of available data
regarding the current and historical setting and considering the proposed
development, a site investigation is necessary to confirm the presence
and evaluate the risks posed by the identified potential pollutant linkages.
§ The site its current setting is “suitable for use” and upon completion of the
development, will suitably remove exposure pathways to identified
potential contaminant sources. The site investigation is required to assess
the risk to construction workers and the surrounding environment during
development as a result of disturbance and removal of insitu soils.
§ Off site disposal cost of spoils/excavations may have the potential to
attract significant costs given the previous and current site setting.
§ Should any unusual odours or seepages be encountered on site during
the construction stage, then these should immediately be brought to the
attention of the Engineer who should then arrange for the relevant
sampling and testing to be carried out. Additionally, should there be
significant changes in the proposed end-use of the site, a reappraisal and
reconsideration should be made to the CSM, and appropriate
exploratory/investigative analysis be conducted.
§ Good practices should be employed at all times during construction to
minimise the potential for deleterious impacts particularly concerning the
sensitive underlying water environment and the wider area as a whole.
