Potentially. Previous site use was industrial with
railway sidings, goods depots, iron foundry,
starch works, engineering works, PFS and
warehousing. There is the potential for a range
of contaminants to remain on site and migrate
to off site receptors.
As above. Site and surroundings located within
heavy industrial area with iron foundry and
heavy engineering. Industrial land uses
remained until the late 1980’s when
warehousing recreational facilities (ten pin
bowling centre) and car parking occupied the
site

Environmental Protection Act 1990.
Renfrewshire Council have confirmed that no
sites have been statutorily designated as Part
IIA Section 78(2) sites. It was noted that this
does not necessarily preclude the possibility of
contamination with the site boundary.
