1.4. Summary of PCFP Functions
Using PCFP
Table 1–1 presents a summary, in alphabetical order, of all the functions PCFP provides.
The first column gives the function name. The second column gives a concise
description of the function. The third column gives analogous FURPUR commands for
users who are familiar with the FURPUR command language. Note that in most cases,
the PCFP functions provide capabilities beyond those available in FURPUR. Also, in
some cases capabilities of a FURPUR command are split across multiple PCFP functions.
The fourth column gives the subsection of this manual that describes the PCFP function.
You can refer to Appendix B. This appendix provides a complete list of FURPUR
commands and options and the analogous PCFP function, when applicable.

Description
ACQ_BASIC_PF_INFO Returns global information about a specified program
file.
ACQ_ELT_INFO Returns information about a set of elements in a
program file that satisfy specified criteria.
ACQ_FILE_INFO Returns directory information about a single specified
file.
ACQ_FILE_LIST Returns directory information about a set of files that
satisfy specified criteria.
ACQ_OM_EP_INFO Returns information about a set of object- module
entry points in a program file that satisfy specified
criteria.
ACQ_PROC_INFO Returns information about a set of procedures in a
program file that satisfy specified criteria.
ACQ_REL_EP_INFO Returns information about a set of relocatable entry
points in a program file that satisfy specified criteria.
CHG_ELT Changes attributes of a set of elements in a program
file that satisfy specified criteria.
CHG_FILE Changes directory attributes of a single specified
cataloged file and initializes an empty file as a
program file.
CHG_FILE_CYC Changes the F-cycle limit for the files in a specified
F-cycle series.
CHG_FILE_KEYS Changes the read or write key for the files in a
specified F-cycle series.
CHG_FILE_NAME Changes the qualifier or file name for the files in a
specified F-cycle series.
