1.4. Summary of PCFP Functions<br />

Using PCFP<br />

Table 1–1 presents a summary, in alphabetical order, of all the functions PCFP provides.<br />

The first column gives the function name. The second column gives a concise<br />

description of the function. The third column gives analogous FURPUR commands for<br />

users who are familiar with the FURPUR command language. Note that in most cases,<br />

the PCFP functions provide capabilities beyond those available in FURPUR. Also, in<br />

some cases capabilities of a FURPUR command are split across multiple PCFP functions.<br />

The fourth column gives the subsection of this manual that describes the PCFP function.<br />

You can refer to Appendix B. This appendix provides a complete list of FURPUR<br />

commands and options and the analogous PCFP function, when applicable.<br />

ACQ_BASIC_PF_INFO Returns global information about a specified program<br />

file.<br />

ACQ_ELT_INFO Returns information about a set of elements in a<br />

program file that satisfy specified criteria.<br />

ACQ_FILE_INFO Returns directory information about a single specified<br />

file.<br />

ACQ_FILE_LIST Returns directory information about a set of files that<br />

satisfy specified criteria.<br />

ACQ_OM_EP_INFO Returns information about a set of object- module<br />

entry points in a program file that satisfy specified<br />

criteria.<br />

ACQ_PROC_INFO Returns information about a set of procedures in a<br />

program file that satisfy specified criteria.<br />

ACQ_REL_EP_INFO Returns information about a set of relocatable entry<br />

points in a program file that satisfy specified criteria.<br />

CHG_ELT Changes attributes of a set of elements in a program<br />

file that satisfy specified criteria.<br />

CHG_FILE Changes directory attributes of a single specified<br />

cataloged file and initializes an empty file as a<br />

program file.<br />

CHG_FILE_CYC Changes the F-cycle limit for the files in a specified<br />

F-cycle series.<br />

CHG_FILE_KEYS Changes the read or write key for the files in a<br />

specified F-cycle series.<br />

CHG_FILE_NAME Changes the qualifier or file name for the files in a<br />

specified F-cycle series.<br />
