Competitive senior event<br />

schedule continues to grow<br />

ARLINGTON — <strong>The</strong> International<br />

<strong>Bowling</strong> Campus is<br />

creating a new event aimed at<br />

giving senior bowlers age 60<br />

and older even more competitive<br />

opportunities.<br />

<strong>The</strong> ITRC Super Senior Classic<br />

will take place Oct. 30-Nov.<br />

1, immediately following the<br />

2013 USBC Senior Queens, at<br />

the International Training and<br />

Research Center in Arlington,<br />

Texas, the home of Team USA.<br />

"<strong>The</strong>re is a growing base of<br />

Super Senior bowlers that have<br />

been asking for competitive<br />

events, and we are pleased to<br />

provide this new opportunity,"<br />

tremendous host to the Senior<br />

Queens this year, so it's the<br />

perfect venue for this new<br />

tournament."<br />

In order to be eligible for<br />

the ITRC Super Senior Classic,<br />

entrants must be at least 60<br />

years of age by Oct. 30, 2013,<br />

and they must have competed<br />

in either the 2013 USBC Senior<br />

Masters or Senior Queens.<br />

<strong>The</strong> event will feature two<br />

days of qualifying followed<br />

by a third day with a cashers<br />

round and stepladder finals. All<br />

three days will be broadcast<br />

live on BowlTV. <strong>The</strong> field will<br />

be limited to the first 56 entries<br />

and is expected to sell out.<br />

<strong>The</strong> USBC Senior Queens<br />

will return to the International<br />

Training and Research Center<br />

in 2013 after the event was successfully<br />

conducted at the ITRC<br />

in October. <strong>The</strong> 2013 event will<br />

take place Oct. 24-29.<br />

Bowlers will enjoy many of<br />

the same great features next<br />

year with some new additions,<br />

including a free classroom<br />

clinic and a free 2014 win-aspot<br />

sweeper for those who<br />

don't qualify for match play.<br />

<strong>The</strong> ITRC once again will<br />

conduct an optional on-lane<br />

clinic Oct. 29 for participants<br />

who are interested in getting<br />

tips from Team USA coaches.<br />

SENIOR U.S. WOMEN'S OPEN<br />

HEADED TO COLUMBUS, OHIO<br />

<strong>The</strong> Senior U.S. Women's<br />

Open will take place in Columbus,<br />

Ohio, during the same<br />

week as the U.S. Open and U.S.<br />

Women's Open next year.<br />

<strong>The</strong> event will take place in<br />

the 32-lane Sequoia Pro Bowl<br />

from July 21-27. It will serve as<br />

the second jewel of the Senior<br />

Women's Triple Crown, with<br />

the series of events wrapping<br />

up at the Senior Queens in<br />

October.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Senior Women's Triple<br />

Crown kicks off with the National<br />

Golden Ladies Classic at<br />

<strong>The</strong> Orleans in Las Vegas from<br />

March 18-21.<br />

All three Triple Crown<br />

events will lead to the Senior<br />

Women's Triple Crown Shoot-<br />

Out presented by <strong>The</strong> Orleans<br />

on Oct. 27 in Arlington. Bowlers<br />

must enter all three Triple<br />

Crown events to be eligible for<br />

the Shoot-Out.<br />
