Preface Welcome to Rotterdam; welcome to the start of your PhD project at the Erasmus Research Institute of Management (ERIM), the joint research institute of Rotterdam School of Management (RSM) and Erasmus School of Economics (ESE). The aim of the ERIM doctoral programme is to provide the best possible education for tomorrow’s leading international management scholars. You have been selected to be one of them and the next three to four years may be your most defining ones professionally. ERIM will support you to the best of our abilities to allow you to conduct leading research aimed at publications in leading journals. In this guide you will find detailed information about the ERIM PhD programme. Please read this guide carefully and keep it as a reference as it will provide you with many answers concerning your PhD project and programme procedures.
